SYNTHETIC DECKING
Synthetic decking, like the Trex decking illustrated below, needs very careful cleaning to prevent streaking and damage. This type of Trex decking which was some of the first to be released to the public is pressed composite and because of the nature of its open grain, it is highly susceptible to the induction of mildew and mold. The cleaning must be done with the right cleaners and the right pressure to avoid damage. But when restored may be resealed and brought back close to its original condition.
